Ideas for a Beautiful World Bringing People & Ideas Together

About

Ideas for a Beautiful World (IFABW) sets out to showcase the best of people and ecological centred systems, practices, technologies, and initiatives etc. where individuals, communities and organisations have found resilience and independence by taking control of their situations by using their ingenuity and local resources.

Established by Robert Jordan, IFABW is also a place where Robert can shares his everyday observations of the beauty of life around us, as well as its challenges and opportunities through photographs and blog articles.

Robert’s key strengths are his networking skills, his ability to create alliances and foster consensus, his curiosity and ability to identify new opportunities, to join up the dots, to quickly go deep into new topics, to put people at ease, to persuade and convince, to identify trends and needs, to enthusiastically share ideas and ideals, to see behind narratives, and to seek better ways of doing and being.

Robert has worked, around the world, for national and international NGOs, research organisations, governments, niche consultancy companies, SMEs and multi-national companies, and lead advocacy campaigns for international organisations at UN negotiations and conferences, in the fields of organic and regenerative agriculture, climate change, food security, food and packaging innovation, and international development, including several years hands on in Ethiopia developing bulk organic and fair-trade honey and bees wax supply chains for export markets in Europe, the USA and Japan.
